Requirements for Sustainable Forest Management in Natural Tropical Forests (PEFC ST 1003:200x Requirements for Sustainable Forest Management Standards - Part 2: Tropical natural forests)

This document forms the basis of all forest management standards for tropical natural forests and establishes the environmental, social, and economic requirements that forest management must comply with to ensure the sustainable use of forest resources.

When commenting on the document, stakeholders should mainly be focused on the content of the draft standard and its requirements rather than the structure of the document as the PEFC Council and its Revision Working Group are still considering to integrate those requirements into a single meta-standard for all kind of forests with specifics being detailed in interpretative appendices.
